Guided Fishing Adventures  in Kananaskis!

What We Provide

Ice Fishing Trips 8am-2pm

Optimal Angling Co will provide; high quality rods, reels, premium lures, heater, seating, insulated shelter, Garmin Livescope Fish Finder, First Aid kit, fishing guide, knowledge of the lake and a cooler of water.

Lake Fishing Trips 8am-12:30pm  or 8am-4:30pm

Optimal Angling Co will provide; high quality fly and spin rods and reels, premium flies and tackle, Garmin Livescope (lake fishing), Life Jackets, First Aid kit, Fishing guide, knowledge of the river or lake and a cooler of water.

What You Provide

Once you book your trip with Optimal Angling Co. you will need to provide an up-to-date WIN card and Alberta Fishing License for the date of your excursion for anglers 16-64 years old (which can be purchased here).

You will require a Kananaskis day pass for your vehicle to have access to the provincial park and day use areas. Pass can be purchased here for the date of your adventure.

Transportation to and from the location is not provided, so you will have to arrange a way to get there and back safely.

Ice Fishing Trips

 We recommend wearing warm layers of clothing and bringing extra layers, as conditions can change quickly.  Warm winter outerwear you'll need includes; A winter coat, snow pants, gloves, hat/toque, warm boots, sunglasses and sunscreen.

 We recommend bringing a few small snacks, or an easy lunch that you can enjoy during the excursion to keep you energized. Bringing beverages of your choice with you.


Lake Fishing Trips

 We recommend wearing layers of clothing and bringing along a sweater and a rain coat in case of inclement weather, a hat, pants, a light lunch and beverages of your choice. Don't forget your sunscreen and camera to capture the views!
